Scientists have always been skeptical of matters involving spirituality, such as the existence of an "essence" or "soul," consisting of another type of matter surviving the death of the physical body, and the possibility of the same essence to reincarnate in another material body.

 

However, in recent times, we have seen the emergence of a new generation of researchers, willing to explore "extra physical" phenomena, using strictly scientific criteria and methods. Science is obviously still a long way from definitively proving spiritual phenomena, but some research is already beginning to bring fairly significant evidence of a dimension beyond matter. We will now see three studies conducted by Brazilian researchers.
